I have had SOOO little free time\mojo the past couple weeks it's obscene.... as I know is the case for so many folks out there. I FEEL YOUR PAIN. The holidays are, indeed, a bitch. I was determined to enter Brie's contest this time around, though, because I missed her last one which just... bummed me out considerabley. Any excuse to draw Brianne's characters is one hellova good excuse in my book, after all.
Anyways. I've been pecking at this in little bits where and when I can, and fiiiinally got the lineart done. It'll be my "official" entry, if I don't manage to color it in time... which, unfortunately, may very well be the case. ... but I'm so going to try anyways. I'm determined, dammit. It's fer BRIE.
I'm admittedly biased. When she gave the opportunity to draw one of my favorite Matihao Whenua characters, her babygirl Lala, with other members of the clan, I completely jumped it's bones. Plus I've been dying to draw her as it is, as I've gotten a pretty distinct mental image of her visually, based on Brianne's bio info on the character. Hense, the results here.
